Bishop Norman McFarland Scholarship

The Bishop Norman McFarland Scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students studying in the fields of film or television within the School of Film and Television. Students must have demonstrated financial need and be in good academic standing. Students must demonstrate through an essay their faith and loyalty to the Roman Catholic Church and how they further the mission of the Church in its promotion of the good, true and beautiful. Consideration will be given to applicants who are part of the Diocese of Orange. Selections are made by the dean of the School of Film and Television and the Diocese of Orange Committee through an application process.

For academic year 2015-16, this scholarship will provide one undergraduate student $45,000 for each of their four years at LMU, covering expenses related to tuition, room and board. In addition, one graduate student will receive $25,000 for each of their three years, also covering expenses related to tuition, room and board. Applicants must be incoming freshman and incoming graduate students in the School of Film and Television for 2015-16. Decisions will be made by May 15, 2015.
